Dear Friend,

I stumbled upon a quick shortcut to happiness, and I’ve been using it to uplift my mood all week.

I think it’ll work for you, too.

Last week, when I was out at dinner, I was at a pub that was playing a mix, including some
’90s tunes, such as Mr. Big’s ‘To Be With You.’

The simplicity struck a chord, as I happily reminisced about my relatively carefree childhood.

So I’ve been tuning into classics in the mornings with Savage Garden, the Goo Goo Dolls,
and Sixpence None the Richer, the band who sings ‘Kiss Me,’ which is on my first-ever CD.

The soundtrack to my childhood feels so sincere and romantic when compared to the current tracks, most of which are produced to hijack our ever decreasing attention spans.

’90s tunes transport me back to a time when life wasn’t so complicated, when I could walk
to my neighbor’s house unannounced and spend ninety percent of the day playing.

And they let me temporarily disengage from the tedium that comes in tandem with adult life,
as well as some of the large worrying world issues that could easily usurp my time, energy, and focus.

Whatever your age, I highly recommend a nostalgic music sesh with songs you loved before a rolling roster of responsibilities took over your life.

While writing this letter, Smash Mouth’s ‘All Star’ popped into mind and I’m already psyched
to revisit it.

Happy listening, especially if you can share your fave tunes with others in your generation or outside of it.

Sharing infinite love,

Ali
